Multistakeholder Roundtable: Closing the SDG Investment Gap in Kenya

Event Date: End Date: | 09:00 am - 05:30 pm EAT

In 2026, the GISD Alliance has embarked on a new work programme focusing on country-level implementation, with new pilot initiatives launched in Kenya, Colombia, and Indonesia. GISD aims to scale up private financing for sustainable development by identifying actionable investment opportunities and policy solutions aligned with national priorities.

In Kenya, GISD is working with UN Resident Coordinators Office and the SDG Partnerships Platform to support the government of Kenya in:

  • Establishing a country-led financing platform linked to Kenya’s National Energy Compact Kenya, aligned with the World Bank and African Development Bank’s Mission 300 initiative;
  • Facilitating the identification of investment opportunities;
  • Developing actionable policy recommendations to mobilize private investment for sustainable development.

To advance these objectives, GISD is organizing a multistakeholder roundtable on ‘Closing the SDG Investment Gap’ in Nairobi, Kenya on the 6th-7th July 2026.

More information, including the programme, will be available soon.
