Multistakeholder Roundtable: Closing the SDG Investment Gap in Kenya
In 2026, the GISD Alliance has embarked on a new work programme focusing on country-level implementation, with new pilot initiatives launched in Kenya, Colombia, and Indonesia. GISD aims to scale up private financing for sustainable development by identifying actionable investment opportunities and policy solutions aligned with national priorities.
In Kenya, GISD is working with UN Resident Coordinators Office and the SDG Partnerships Platform to support the government of Kenya in:
-
Presenting and discussing investment opportunities and innovative financing instruments aligned with Kenya’s sustainable development priorities including the objectives of Mission 300 and the National Energy Compact.
- Facilitating dialogue among government, investors, and development partners on measures to increase private investment and finance for sustainable development.
-
Producing a list of actions and next steps to enhance investment opportunities and the investment climate.
To advance these objectives, GISD is organizing a multistakeholder roundtable on ‘Closing the SDG Investment Gap’ which will be held virtually on 7th July 2026.
